When a family employs a nanny or mother's help they will have to register with the Inland Revenue as a small employer. As an employer they will be responsible for ensuring that the nanny's tax & NI is paid and also their employers NI contribution. Along with this the family will need to supply their nanny with all relevant paperwork i.e. payslips, P60, P45 etc.
